I've been loving looking at all of the gorgeous Fall tablescapes all over Pinterest and other blogs!! I dream of hosting a lovely party with a beautiful tablescape where everyone has a name card and uses a cloth napkin :) It's never happened yet but a girl can dream, right!?!
Anyhow, most of the pictures that I found although beautiful had your traditional Fall colors......orange, yellow, brown, cream.....so I decided to throw a little color in my Fall tablescape - namely my fave aqua and yellow!!
I love how the aqua blends so well with my newly painted chairs and how the yellow pops! I also moved my chevron striped bench that I recovered into the mix.
I'm sorta obsessed with white plates, serveware, and accessories {because one day I WILL have an all white kitchen! :} and collecting napkins, placemats and tableclothes for whatever reason.....I never host fancy parties but I do seem to use them occasionally for casual get togethers. So everything pictured is something I already had!
I also shopped my home for the aqua accessories........AND I did throw in some traditional Fall colors :) I think it works, do you?
The placemats are simply 12 x 12 pieces of patterned paper. I used my Silhouette to make the favor boxes and pear place cards.
Have a wonderful Fall season decorating for your get togethers be it fancy or casual or something in between! And don't be afraid to add a little color!!

It's lovely, Brooke. The aqua and yellow look great as fall colours. You've warmed it up well with texture and accessories. Great mix of glassware, too. I'm trying to Autumn this year without any orange so I am mixing in new colour combos. I'm working on my front porch right now and it is grey, yellow and steel blue. Hubby is a bit weirded out but he'll understand better when it is all done!
ReplyDeleteThank you Bronwyn....your sweet comments mean so much to me :) Your front porch makeover sounds lovely!! I'd love to see it when you are finished :)

Love the aqua in with the fall colors, and the yellow and aqua do pop against each other. Loving the chevron bench. Very pretty vignette! Thanks for sharing your inspiration with Sunday’s Best – you helped make the party a success!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I love your use of pastels. Breath of fresh air. Love the place cards too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Brooke! I'm featuring you tomorrow! XO, Aimee
ReplyDeleteI love how you used aqua with typical fall colors! My kitchen stuff is mostly aqua, so I really love this idea. :D
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful Brooke. I love dishes too, and preferably any white dish myself is a love all on its own. ;) I swear we have the exact same CHINA. Is that china? I have been married for 13 years and only got two place setting for my wedding. I would love to get my hands on more? any ideas where you can find it? was your from Dillards? Anyway, great job on the tables cape. Sorry for all the questions. xo, jen
ReplyDeleteOooh oooh OOOOOH! Gorgeous tablescape! And I LOVE the aqua in fall decor! I just introduced aqua to my dining room this summer, and I'm still figuring out how to work it in with my fall decorating. I have all white dishes as well-- some I picked up at an after-Christmas sale (they have a little gold border on them, which I guess means "Christmas"), and I got a whole set of white dishes at a rummage sale for $5! Woohoo! Love me some whiteware!
ReplyDeleteAnd I also love the idea of using 12x12 scrapbook paper for placemats. BRILLIANT! (I'm smacking myself in the forehead over here)
Now following via email AND GFC-- don't wanna miss a thing! :)
