Inspiration: Nursery Love

Inspiration: Nursery LOVE
I have been pinning nurseries for months now getting ready to write this post! I don't always use photos of nurseries for nursery inspiration however. There are so many wonderful design elements found in nurseries that can be incorporated into other parts of your home!

I have these two dressers pinned to my nursery inspiration board and decided that I absolutely needed a yellow dresser somewhere in my home!

Sadie & Stella                                                                                  Honey & Fitz

Although not as bright and not in a nursery my yellow dresser was born!

My baby girl is not a baby anymore so she doesn't have a traditional nursery, except for the fact that she still sleeps in a crib (and that will not change until she is able to climb out of it, you understand right?) but her room still has hints of a nursery.......
For instance, I created these statement shelves for her room when I found out I was having a girl.......

I still have the original concept intact like her birthdate art, girly pink accents and baby tutus. Isn't that tiny pink tutu adorable......she wore it for her newborn photos! :)
When styling her room I gleaned much from photos I'd saved as inspiration. Before Pinterest, I would save ideas to my computer or a picture torn from a magazine.......now I have a place for all of those ideas!! Don't you just love Pinterest!
Here are just a few of my nursery favorites that have inspired me along the way (and not only for use in a baby nursery)

This light and the paneling on the wall.......I die!!

Stripes, mirrors, leopard OH MY!!

A yellow, white and gray palette has inspired so many including me in my master bedroom!

And finally, this green and aqua nursery! You all know how much I love aqua!

I happen to love everything about nursery design because all of this wonderful inspiration can be used in every single part of your home even if you don't happen to have a little one to decorate for or your little ones have grown out of the nursery phase :)
